March 04, 2006 -- Ms Pinky has created four (4) all-new tracks of her digital control signal especially for use with CDJ (Compact Disc) Scratching Decks. Ms Pinky users who prefer to use CDJs instead of vinyl will be very happy to know that this new version of Ms Pinky's control signal features ultra-low latency and super-high resolution for optimal performance with your CDJ decks. Even though it was previously possible to record the Ms Pinky Vinyl Control signal onto a CD and use that to scratch with a CDJ deck, the nature of the vinyl signal is not such that it can give the lowest possible latency and highest possible resolution that the Compact Disc medium can accommodate. That is why Ms Pinky has released this special new signal only for use with CDJs. Each of the new tracks is 12 min, 40 sec long and contains 131,072 unique position codes. All four tracks together contain a total of 524,288 unique position codes, with a density of 172.265625 per second when played at nominal rate (pitch = 0.0). That translates to twice the resolution, and one-half the latency, of the vinyl control signal. You will instantly feel the difference. Ms PINKY'S “MAXI-PATCH” TURNTABLE TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCED --Ms. Pinky and Cycling '74 announce bundle offer-- NAMM 2003 (Anaheim, CA, USA/Disneyland) -- A new technology that allows turntablists to gain unprecedented control over the audio and video universe is being introduced this week. MsPinky, working in a secret laboratory in Santa Cruz, California, has developed a combination of vinyl and software that offers a wide-open playing field for the interaction between analog phonograph turntables and computer technology. Working with the San Francisco software company Cycling '74, MsPinky has developed what she called the “Maxi-Patch” -- a simple interface to the Max/MSP graphical programming environment and Jitter video and 3-D software. Ms. Pinky's records contain a special digital control waveform that, when used with Max/MSP/Jitter, can “scratch” audio files, video clips, or control any imaginable digital synthesis, processing, or 3-D algorithm. Other “vinyl” systems on the market are limited to allowing users to play back digital audio files as if they were tracks recorded on a vinyl record. At the Cycling '74 booth at NAMM in Anaheim, CA/Disneyland, Ms. Pinky's associates demonstrated the first ever simultaneous scratching of digital video, audio, and filter parameters! The crowds were speachless.However, one observer, a young man from Hawaii who may be known to some of you, was overheard saying “Dat's da shit, man!”  MsPinky offers a membership in her fan club which includes the “Maxi-Patch” audio+video scratching software, as well as a standalone audio-only software application called “Binky Toy”, and the choice of four records in either black or pink vinyl, for $99.00 US.MsPinky says: “I'm so happy to announce that beginning January 31, 2003 right here on this website, all of my fans from all over the world, from all walks of life, will be able to join my fanclub for only $99.00.
