There are several distinctly different software packages included with Ms Pinky's Interdimensional Wrecked System. There are two standalone applications, “Maxi-Patch” and “Binky Toy”, as well as a VST/AudioUnit/RTAS plugin called “Pinky Pluggo". The “Maxi-Patch” application runs under Mac OSX and WinXP and allows simultaneous mixing of .WAV, .AIFF, and .MP3 audio files and QuickTime movies. All digital media files that are played in “Maxi-Patch” can be controlled by the MsPinky vinyl records played on your standard DJ turntable. The main window of “Maxi-Patch” has different regions for loading, playing, and applying effects to audio files (.WAV, .AIFF, .MP3) and QuickTime Movies. The colors, borders, and shapes of all of the various regions can be customized by the user. One particular color setting makes the main window look like this:

The “Binky Toy” application runs under Mac OS9 and OSX only. It is an audio-only application for mixing .WAV, .AIFF, and .MP3 files under the control of DJ turntables. In addition to allowing control of audio files using the MsPinky vinyl on a standard DJ turntable, Binky Toy features a suite of real-time FX processors! The Binky Toy's color scheme can be customized by the user from a palette of millions of colors, and its main window looks like this:

As wonderful as we feel the "Maxi-Patch" and "BinkyToy" standalone applications are, we understand that many users may prefer to use Ms Pinky's vinyl tracking technology within another software environment. Ms Pinky therefore provides a VST/AudioUnit/RTAS plugin version of her vinyl-controlled audio file player/scratcher, which we call "Pinky Pluggo". This exciting little plugin allows users of VST, Audio Unit, and RTAS-compatible host programs running under both OSX and WinXP to seamlessly integrate Ms Pinky into their music production software sessions... for the purposes of studio recording, or for live performance. Ms Pinky always encourages creative developers to think of new and interesting ways to use her vinyl tracking technology. To that end, we also provide a Software Developer's Kit (SDK) that enables application developers to harness the power of MsPinky's vinyl tracking technology and use it however they want to. Users of Max/MSP are also provided a toolkit of compiled externals and patches which allows them to use Ms Pinky's vinyl to control just about anything inside the Max/MSP graphical programming environment.
