Hi,
I'm wondering if my iBook G3 900mhz with 640 MB Ram would be fast enough to run Ms Pinky Binky Toy at satisfactory level. Would there be any delay when scratching of would there be any sound break up?
Also, is using Pinky Pluggo in Ableton Live 6 too demanding for my computer?
thank you very much for reading this.
Cheers,

The video stuff will be super-slow on a G3. I wouldn't recommend even trying it.
The audio stuff might work if you only play .wav and/or .aiff audio files.
What version of OSX are you running? We really only support OSX 10.4.X right now. |

Thank you very much for your quick reply.
I'm running OSX 10.3
I'm only interested in running audio stuff - I'm not much of a VJ.
Would Binky Toy as a stand alone be a goer then? It sounds like running Pluggo through Ableton Live would be too slow..Is that right?
Cheers,

We have a legacy version of Binky Toy for G3 computers that should run under 10.3.9, but I can't guarantee you that because I don't have a 10.3.X machine any more. You'd be better off upgrading to 10.4 before trying to use it.
And what sound card do you have to use with Ms Pinky? |

I'm thinking about getting M-Audio Connectiv.
I've heard that OSX 10.4 is quite heavy and that I'm worried about the OS slowing down the G3 machine.
Is the G3 version still available?
Thanks a lot for your help. |
