On certain wave files, I get the following error (output in the Max window) when trying to generate a waveform file:

"MPTCFS~: error -1 in creating waveform file Angel_4.wvf"

(Angel_4.wav is the name of my audio file)

Can anyone shed some light on what this error means?

You probably have write permissions turned OFF on the directory where the .wav file lives. Make sure all the folders/directories where your music lives have READ + WRITE permissions enabled for ALL.

I tried that but, unfortunately, it didn't work.

I am trying to process a bunch of waves in a folder using the batch option in the AO patch. Each of the waves is identical (same format, permissions, etc). The first 5 or 6 are processed as expected, but then it always errors out in the same place, and none of the other files can be processed.

Any ideas?

I'm on a PPC G5, OS 10.4.11. Using a Digi002 as my soundcard with Max 5.

Actually.... running this again one more time to verify before I posted, I found a new error output that may be more useful:

"MPTCFS: error checking waveform file data..
js: Pinky_waveform.js: Javascript TypeError: theWaveformIndexBuff has no properties, line 268
js: error calling function open_waveform_file"

Is that any more or less helpful?
